My journey into Taxidermy began when I was 16 years old. The first animal I mounted was a shoulder mount of a whitetail doe that my dad harvested. I did several more whitetail shoulder mounts over the next few years.
Instead of pursuing taxidermy full time, I went to college and joined the proverbial "rat race".  I picked taxidermy back up in 2021 with intentions of making this a semi retirement gig. I currently work a full time job as an IT Consultant while doing taxidermy as a side hustle. Currently I am taking in 10 deer a year for mounting. I do all steps of the taxidermy process in house (skinning, fleshing, tanning, mounting, finish work), this allows a faster turn around and full control of your taxidermy project. Turn around for a mount is 6-10 months.
Fish taxidermy is next on my list. From reproductions to skin mounts, I want to pursue this art further.
